INFORMATION
The NMT is a mode of transport within the City of Cape Town's (CoCT) public transport network that specifically provides for walking and cycling. This initiative is fundamental in the City’s vision for all people to feel secure and safe to walk and cycle. Communities where the NMT were implemented benefited greatly in respect of the environment, increased liveability, improved health and inter-neighbourhood and inter-regions mobility.
Daveng was appointed by the CoCT for the conceptualising of the NMT in various regions of the Cape Metropole area. In addition, Daveng was appointed for the design, documentation and procurement, and the contract supervision of numerous NMT’s across the Cape Metropole area over a period of 9 years.
