Municipal Infrastructure

The primary objectives of local municipalities are the development and preservation safe and healthy environment for its residents, and to ensure that the basic needs of individuals and communities are met. One of the ways to ensure a healthy and mentally stimulated communities is to provide sports and recreational facilities. Daveng played an integral role in ensuring that the aforesaid objective was met when they were appointed to decommission an existing landfill site and redevelop the area into a soccer field to a FIFA credited Synthetic Turf.

The City of Cape Town appointed Daveng in 2005 to investigate and report on the condition of existing roads in Hanover Park, Manenberg and Heideveld. The report recommended that the Municipality prioritise and categorise different phases to plan, budget and implement the rehabilitation and upgrading of these roads to remain serviceable at optimum cost. Furthermore, Daveng was responsible for the design, documentation, contract administration and supervision of these rehabilitation projects for the last 18 years.
