ABOUT DAVENG
Founded by experienced civil engineers in September 2004, Daveng Consulting Engineers is a 100% black owned company that boasts strong engineering and technical competencies. Providing a sustainable working environment, Daveng’s staff members receive continuous training and the company stays up to date with the latest technologies.
Working hand in hand with the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), Daveng contributes to job creation and community upliftment. By taking on projects in collaboration with communities, Daveng creates employment opportunities and contributes to the overall development of South Africa.
Daveng is a member of Consulting Engineers of South Africa (CESA) and subsequently commits itself to their rules and code of conduct. The firm offers clients professional indemnity and is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the South African Institute of Civil Engineering (SAICE), thereby ensuring that its employees are fully recognised as engineering professionals, both locally and internationally.
The Daveng team is imbued with providing service through integrity, thereby promising quality and trust. OUR DIRECTOR
JEFF DANIELS
Jeff Daniels, a Professional Engineering Technologist with more than 25 years’ experience co-founded Daveng Consulting Engineers in 2004. He became the sole owner in 2017. Jeff specialises in Pavement Management, Routine Road Maintenance, Construction Project Management Site Supervision and Civil Infrastructure.
Jeff is a seasoned Contracts Engineer in Road Construction, Road Maintenance and Civil Infrastructure Projects. He has intimate knowledge in the supervision and management of contractors and subcontractors. He is passionate about construction claims, labour intensive construction and the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
Jeff holds a National Diploma, National Higher Diploma and a B-Tech Degree from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He also holds a B-Eng Degree which he obtained from the Hanzehogeschool Groningen in the Netherlands. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Law degree from the University of the Western Cape in 2013 and is currently enrolled for a Certificate Course in Arbitration.
Jeff acted as Contracts Engineer on contracts of over R2 billion since he started Daveng Consulting Engineers. He is passionate about making a difference in the industry and he was instrumental in creating over 980 000 construction person days over the last 18 years of his career and has completed various Labour Intensive and EPWP Projects in South Africa.
